The 14-lesson, non-interactive presentation is free for businesses with less than 25 employees. According to their web site, an inexpensive, branded version of the course is available for companies with more than 25 employees. Advantages to this course include the visually-appealing presentation, the quality of the narration, and the short, to-the-point, lessons. Registration is required for the training; however, the trainee’s progress through the course is not recorded. A 100-question, true/false and multiple-choice format post-assessment is available at a cost of $25 per person. The $25 fee allows trainees to take the assessment as many times as necessary.

This is a 5-lesson interactive course that works properly only using Internet Explorer. Advantages include the in depth nature of the training. Registration is not required for the training, and the trainee’s progress through the course is not recorded. A 30-question multiple-choice assessment is available for free.
The National Institute of Health has provided this interactive, 8-lesson course presented in the context of doing a healthcare-related job. An advantage to this course is the depth of the information provided. The course is supplemented by a Security Refresher course and a Privacy Awareness course. Registration is not required for the training, and the trainee’s progress through the course is not recorded.
The Department of Defense (DoD) Information Systems Security Awareness Course is an interactive, 29-lesson course. Registration is not required for the training, and the trainee’s progress through the course is not recorded. Advantages to this course include that is realistic, using human actors portraying problems associated with common information security threats. The interactive scenarios are engaging. It also has transcripts in addition to the narration. It works best with Internet Explorer.
